Turn the instant pot to the sauté setting and add in the olive oil. Then add in the pork chops and cook for 3-6 minutes on each side until browned. Make sure to scrape the bottom of the instant pot insert to remove anything that might have gotten stuck while browning the pork chops.
Place the butter on top and sprinkle the ranch mix packet on top of the pork chops in the instant pot.
Pour water over the pork.
Place the lid on and set the lid to the sealing position.
Push the manual button and cook on high pressure for 5 minutes.
After this cook time, allow the pressure to release naturally for 5 minutes and then do a quick release by move the valve on the lid from the sealing to the venting position to release the remaining pressure from the instant pot.
Then they are ready to serve and enjoy!
You can even spoon the buttery sauce over the pork chops and over your veggies when serving.

Pork Chops Variations
Change the Meat - If you don't have pork chops, this recipe works great with chicken or turkey breast.
Cook in the Air Fryer - We love using our air fryer, these pork chops turn out so good in the air fryer.
Add Vegetables - Make sure to add vegetable to this meal for an easy meal idea. You can even add into the instant pot to cook with the pork chops. I have thrown in frozen green beans, potatoes, and carrots in there and they all came out packed with flavor and perfectly soft. I would put the pork chops on the bottom and then the veggies on top. We like to add a teaspoon of onion powder to the top to add some additional flavor.
Storage and Reheating Tips
Fridge - Store the leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
Freezer - Place the leftover pork chops in a freezer safe container for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight when ready to serve.
Reheat - Place in the microwave to reheat or place in a baking dish to reheat for about 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
