Ingredients
1lbground beefor ground turkey
½onion chopped
Garlic Salt and Italian Seasoning
1Zucchini diced small
1cancrushed tomatoes(28 oz)
1canrefrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1 ½cupsshredded Italian cheese blend(6 oz)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey until fully cooked.
Add ½ chopped onion, 1 diced zucchini, garlic salt to taste (approximately ½ teaspoon), and Italian seasoning to taste (approximately 1 teaspoon). Cook for 4–5 minutes until the vegetables are softened.
Stir in 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes and cook for 2–3 minutes until heated through.
Separate 1 can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls into 8 triangles.
Arrange the dough triangles in an ungreased 9-inch glass pie plate in a spoke pattern, allowing the narrow tips to overlap the rim by about 3 inches. Press the dough into the bottom and sides to form a crust.
Spoon the meat and vegetable mixture evenly into the crust.
Top with 1½ cups shredded Italian cheese blend.
Pull the dough tips over the filling toward the center.
Bake for 15–20 minutes, until the crescent dough is golden brown.

Notes
Do not let the vegetables scare you from trying this recipe. My kids do not even notice them. They add a ton of flavor and it’s a great way to sneak them in. I have also added squash, carrots and green pepper.
