This amazing Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed French Bread Recipe is so cheesy and stuffed with tons of flavor. Plus, this delicious meal takes just minutes.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the steak is browned and almost cooked through.
Add the sliced green peppers, onion, and beef broth. Cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender and the steak is fully cooked.
Slice the French bread loaf in half lengthwise. Scoop out a small amount of the soft bread from the center of each half to make room for the filling.
Place the bread halves cut-side up on a baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes until lightly toasted.
Evenly divide the steak and vegetable mixture between the two bread halves.
Top with the provolone cheese slices, slightly overlapping them to completely cover the filling.
Return to the oven and bake for 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let the sandwiches cool for 2-3 minutes, then slice into serving-sized pieces and serve warm.
Notes
Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 350°F oven or air fryer until warmed through for the best texture.
