Crock Pot BBQ Pulled Chicken

Ingredients

  • 3 lb chicken breasts (Approximately 5-6 chicken breasts)
  • 1 1/2 cups BBQ Sauce (Divided)
  • 1/4 cup Italian Salad Dressing
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 Buns (I used ciabatta buns but any will work)
  • 1/2 Red Onion (Sliced) Optional for Topping
  • 6 oz Monterey jack cheese (Sliced)

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together 1 cup of the barbecue sauce, the Italian salad dressing, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Place the chicken in a 6 quart crock pot. Pour the sauce over the top.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  • Shred the chicken. Stir the 1 additional cup of barbecue sauce into the crock pot with the chicken.
  • Serve on the buns topped with the red onions and cheese. Enjoy!

Notes

We love serving this on buns, but this is great by itself as well.
