(ripe – if you have them in the freezer, just allow to thaw)

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and spray a 5x9 loaf pan with cooking spray.
Peel and mash 3 to 4 ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl. If using frozen bananas, allow them to thaw completely first.
Stir in ? cup melted butter, 1 egg, ¾ cup sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and ¼ teaspoon salt until well combined.
Add 1 ½ cups flour and stir until the batter is fully mixed.
Fold in 1 cup chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake for 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the banana bread to cool on a wire rack before removing it from the pan.
Slice, serve, and enjoy!
