How to freeze banana bread:

This recipe freezes great and I try to always freeze a few loaves.  You can make a lot all at once and then freeze them.

Just wrap it in cling wrap and place in a freezer bag.  Allow it to thaw on the counter until you are ready to serve. Your family will never know it came out of the freezer.

You might want to double the recipe like we do so you can have one now and one for later. It really isn’t any more work to make extra and you can stock your freezer.

When I make a double batch, I like to make one loaf and then use the rest of the batter to make medium or mini loaves. We eat the large loaf straight away and then freeze the smaller loaves for later. Everyone loves getting to enjoy some now and later!

The mini loaves are also really cute gifts to hand out to neighbors, friends and more. It is the perfect size and everyone loves these.

Tip:

You can also freeze slices of this bread so that you only are taking out what you need at that moment.

This is perfect for those times when you do not need an entire loaf. Or maybe one child wants a slice but the other does not.

Just grab and go! We are all about quick and easy around here and saving money is a plus for sure!

This makes a great snack, breakfast idea or even dessert. The kids and the entire family love this anytime of the day.

It is so easy and frugal. You will love it!

You might want to go ahead and double the recipe to have extra to freeze. It is so delicious and really handy too.

Try chocolate chip banana bread for lunch box treats or after school snacks!

We all know how expensive all of those pre-packaged treats can be. They really add up over time and don’t go that far when your family is large like mine.

I like making homemade treats and it saves a ton of money. It also is a big hit with the kids.

One trick I have is to put slices of this banana Bread in ziploc bags. They will be all ready to grab for after school snacks, breakfast or lunchboxes.

I have found that if I do this, it’s just as handy as those expensive pre-packaged items you buy at the store. This gives me all the convenience without all the cost.

Plus, it just tastes much better.

It’s the thought that counts and everyone always is so appreciative of these little loaves.

You can also buy disposable loaf pans if you prefer. They have the aluminum ones to choose from and the pretty paper ones.

The paper mini loaf pans do cost a little more but they are so pretty. I try to catch these on sale and keep some on hand for when I’m baking for others.

I just tried your recipe using gluten free flour and adding 1 tsp cinnamon. Cooked to perfection at exactly 55 minutes! Super moist and so good it didn’t last 10 minutes (even better served warm with butter). This is our new weekend favorite!

I was going to use the recipe that I usually use for banana bread, but I didn’t have the right ingredients for it. I am so so so so so so glad I used this one. The banana bread was so delicious. I used bananas that were very brown and mushy, but it still turned out great.
