Ingredients

Instructions
Place 1.5 pounds stew meat into the crock pot.
Add 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon pepper, 3 chopped celery stalks, 1 chopped onion, 1 tablespoon minced garlic, 2 cups frozen hash browns, and 2 chopped carrot sticks to the crock pot.
Pour in 4 cups beef broth and 2 cups water.
Stir the ingredients together until evenly combined.
Cover the crock pot with the lid and cook on low for 8–10 hours until the beef is tender.
During the last 30 minutes of cooking, stir in ½ cup rinsed barley.
Continue cooking until the barley is tender.
Serve warm and enjoy!
