minced garlic

8 oz. can Tomato Sauce

Beef Broth

Red Wine

Tbsp
Cornstarch

Instructions
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 2 Tbsp olive oil.
Brown 3 lbs beef brisket for 3–5 minutes per side.
Place brisket in a crock pot with 4 carrots and 1 red onion.
Season with 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp dried thyme, and 2 tsp minced garlic.
Pour in 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce, 1 cup beef broth, and 1 cup red wine.
Cover and cook on low for 10 hours or high for 5 hours.
Remove brisket, slice or shred.
Transfer 2 cups cooking liquid to a saucepan.
Whisk 2 Tbsp cornstarch with ½ cup cold water, then stir into saucepan.
Bring to a boil and cook 3–5 minutes until thickened.
Serve brisket with gravy, carrots, and onions.
