1boxwhite cake mix(prepared as directed on the box)
14regular marshmallows
1cupchocolate chips
1tablespoonunsalted butter
1cansweetened condensed milk(14 oz, divided)
28 ounce packages cream cheese, softened
½cuppowdered sugar
2tablespoonsunsweetened cocoa powder
1cupheavy whipping cream
graham crackers(chocolate and marshmallows to garnish)
Instructions
Prepare 1 box white cake mix according to the package directions and bake in a 9x13-inch baking dish. Allow the cake to cool for about 15 to 20 minutes.
Use the handle of a wooden spoon or a large wooden skewer to poke holes all over the cake. Larger holes work best so the filling can soak into the cake.
In a saucepan over low heat, combine 14 regular marshmallows, 1 cup chocolate chips, and 1 tablespoon unsalted butter. Stir continuously until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.
Stir ¾ cup of the 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk into the chocolate mixture until fully combined.
Pour the chocolate marshmallow mixture evenly over the cake, using a spoon or spatula to gently spread it and encourage it to fill the holes.
In a large mixing bowl, beat 2 packages (8 ounces each) softened cream cheese, ½ cup powdered sugar, and 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder with a hand mixer until smooth.
Add the remaining sweetened condensed milk (about ½ cup) and 1 cup heavy whipping cream. Beat until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
Spread the chocolate cheesecake layer evenly over the chocolate marshmallow layer.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the layers to set.
Just before serving, garnish with crushed graham crackers, chopped chocolate bars, and additional marshmallows if desired. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Serve with ice cream, or a glass of milk (my personal favorite)!
