Steak and Potatoes Beef Stew Instant Pot Pressure Cooker Recipe

Dice ½ red onion and peel and dice 4 potatoes into bite-sized chunks.
Place the diced onion and potatoes into the Instant Pot.
Top the vegetables with 2 pounds stew meat.
Season with 1 teaspoon minced garlic and 1 tablespoon steak seasoning.
Pour ½ cup A1 steak sauce and 2 cups beef broth over the ingredients.
Stir everything together until combined.
Place the lid on the Instant Pot and make sure the valve is set to sealing.
Press the manual or pressure cook button and cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
Once the cooking time is complete, allow the pressure to naturally release for at least 10 minutes, then carefully perform a quick release to release the remaining pressure.
In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons cornstarch and ¼ cup water until smooth.
Turn the Instant Pot to the sauté setting and stir the cornstarch mixture into the stew.
Cook for 3–5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce has thickened.
Serve warm in bowls with crusty bread if desired and enjoy!
Notes
These cooking times are for thawed stew meat. If using frozen stew meat, cook on high pressure for 15 minutes followed by a 10-minute natural release before performing a quick release.
