Steak and Potato Foil Pack has perfectly seasoned steak and potatoes. It is a delicious dinner and so tender. The sirloin is so tender and takes just minutes to cook.
Preheat the grill over medium high heat to approximately 400 degrees F.
Cut 1 ½ pounds sirloin steak into 1-inch pieces.
Place the steak, 1 pound quartered baby potatoes, 1 thinly sliced onion, 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, 1 tablespoon minced garlic, 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon pepper, and approximately 2 tablespoons olive oil into a large mixing bowl. Toss thoroughly to evenly coat all the ingredients.
Divide the mixture evenly between 4 pieces of foil that are at least 12x12 inches.
Top each foil packet with portions of the 2 tablespoons diced butter.
Seal the foil packets tightly and place them on the grill.
Cook for 6–7 minutes per side until the steak is cooked to your preferred doneness and the potatoes are fork tender.
Carefully open the foil packets and serve immediately while warm.
Notes
Make sure to use heavy duty foil so that it doesn’t break when making this recipe. You can also use fingerling potatoes or yukon gold potatoes as well. Just make sure to dice them into smaller pieces so that the potatoes are done at the same time as the steak. You can use any of your favorite cuts of steak. I like using sirloin as it cooks well in this recipe.
