Ingredients
For the Burgers:
2poundsground beef
1Tablespoontaco seasoning
6hamburger buns
6slicespepper jack cheese
For the Avocado Pico de Gallo:
3roma tomatoes(diced)
¼white onion(diced)
⅓cupfresh cilantro(chopped)
1Jalapeño Pepper(deseeded and diced)
1Avocado(diced)
1lime(juiced)
¼teaspoon garlic salt
Instructions
Preheat a grill to medium-high heat, approximately 400°F.
Form 2 pounds ground beef into 6 even patties and season both sides with 1 tablespoon taco seasoning.
Place the patties on the grill over direct heat and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, until the burgers reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
During the last minute of cooking, top each burger with 1 slice pepper jack cheese and allow it to melt.
While the burgers cook, make the avocado pico de gallo by combining 3 diced roma tomatoes, ¼ diced white onion, 1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro, 1 deseeded and diced jalapeño pepper, 1 diced avocado, juice from 1 lime, and ¼ teaspoon garlic salt in a small bowl. Stir gently to combine.
