Instructions
Cook 1 lb penne pasta to al dente according to package instructions.
In a saucepan, melt ¼ cup butter over medium heat. Add 2 tsp minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Whisk in ¼ cup flour and cook for 1 minute until slightly thickened.
Slowly whisk in 1 cup milk and 1 cup chicken broth, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens and begins to boil.
Stir in ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese, ½ tsp salt, and ½ tsp black pepper until melted and smooth.
Add the cooked pasta and stir to combine. Serve immediately.

Variations Ideas
Protein - Add shrimp, chicken, ham or smoked sausage to the pasta sauce.
Extra Garlic - You can add roasted garlic cloves for even more garlic flavor in the sauce.
Veggies - Toss Broccoli, green peas, sweet corn or spinach into the pasta sauce. It is a great way to bulk up the meal with healthy items. You really can use any type of vegetables you like. Other ideas include: bell peppers (any color), onion, carrots and mushrooms.
