Recipe Tips
Slow Cooker Recommendation - First, get your crock pot out. I love to use my programmable crockpot when I'm going to be gone all day. Oh and to save time with cleanup, use Crockpot liners.
Freezing Onions - We save a bunch of time by using a food processor to chop the onions. I actually keep diced onion in the freezer and it is one of my favorite meal prep tips.
Combining Sauce Ingredients - We recommend combining the teriyaki sauce in a small bowl before pouring over the chicken.
Soy Sauce - You can easily make the Teriyaki sauce by substituting the soy sauce for coconut aminos.
Teriyaki Sauce - Feel free to use store bought teriyaki sauce instead of making homemade.
Additions - Making homemade teriyaki sauce allows you to change the ingredients. You can add in spices or other sauces. Add in mirin, sake, or sriracha.
Chicken - You can use this recipe to cook chicken thighs or chicken tenders.
