Ingredients

- Lean Ground Beef – You can use half Italian sausage and half ground beef in the patties if you prefer.
- Italian Seasoning – Make Homemade Italian Seasoning or substitute with just oregano
- Garlic Powder – See The Best Garlic Powder Substitute
- Mozzarella Cheese – Use freshly shredded cheese
- Pepperoni Slice – Use your favorite pizza toppings
- Pizza Sauce – I used store bought pizza sauce for this recipe but homemade can be used as well.
- Kaiser Buns – Use your favorite buns
- Butter – We used unsalted butter

How to Make Pizza Burger

Step 1 – In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper together. Use either your hands or a sturdy spoon.

Step 2 – Form the mixture into 4 large, thick patties. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties to the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes until browned. Flip patties & continue cooking.

Step 3 – Top each patty with approximately 1 ½ tablespoons of pizza sauce, 1 slice of cheese and 6 slices of pepperoni per patty. Place lid over skillet and let the cheese melt.

Step 4 – While the cheese is melting, spread the butter on the buns and toast them in a clean skillet over medium high heat or in the oven ona baking sheet for a few minutes until golden brown.
Step 5 – Lay the patties on the bottom buns and place the top buns on top. Serve warm and enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds Ground Beef 80/20
- ½ teaspoon Italian Seasoning
- ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
- 4 slices Mozzarella Cheese
- 24 Pepperoni Slices
- 6 Tablespoons Pizza Sauce or Marinara Sauce
- 4 Kaiser Buns
- 2 Tablespoons Butter

Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine: 1½ pounds ground beef (80/20), ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Mix until just combined using your hands or a sturdy spoon.
- Form the mixture into 4 large, thick burger patties.
- Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place the patties in the skillet and cook for 4–5 minutes on the first side until browned.
- Flip the patties and cook an additional 4–5 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 155–160°F.
- Top each burger with: 1½ tablespoons pizza sauce, 1 slice mozzarella cheese, 6 pepperoni slices
- Turn off the heat, cover the skillet with a lid, and let the burgers sit for 2–3 minutes until the cheese melts.
- While the cheese is melting, spread 2 tablespoons butter across the 4 Kaiser buns and toast them in a separate skillet over medium-high heat until golden brown.
- Place each pizza burger on the bottom half of a toasted Kaiser bun.
- Add the top bun, serve warm, and enjoy!

- Skillet – I used a cast iron pan but any large skillet will work.
- Cooking Hamburgers – If you choose to use leaner ground beef, then add a small amount of oil to the pan before cooking. Make sure to use an instant read meat thermometer to ensure that the patties are cooked through.

Serve immediately as the buns and patties will become soft as they are stored so I do not recommend storing leftovers. If you have hamburger patties leftovers, store in an airtight container for up 4 days in the fridge. Reheat the hamburger patties in the air fryer or in the microwave.
