Football Pops are so easy to make.

These adorable and tasty treats start with nutter butter cookies. These cookie pops are great for game day, parties and more. It is the perfect treat for the end of year sports parties. You will definitely be the hit of the party with these tasty and cute cookie pops.

The supplies are easy to gather which makes it easy to make this treat at the last minute football party!

Everyone is sure to love them and they are so cute decorated into footballs.

Ingredients:

  • Nutter Butter Cookies
  • 2 cups Light Cocoa Candy Melts
  • 1 cup Bright White Candy Melts
  • Colorful Lollipop Stiks
  • Piping bags
  • Parchment Paper

How to make Football Cookies:

  • Lay out a piece of parchment paper onto a baking sheet and set aside.

  • In a small microwave safe bowl, heat 2 cups of light cocoa candy melts on 50% power in the microwave for 3 to 4 minutes for the brown icing, stirring every 30 seconds until melted. Royal icing works great also!
  • Carefully separate each cookie, dip the ends of your lollipop sticks into the melted chocolate and place onto one half of a nutter butter and carefully sandwich the other on top.

  • Move the cookies on to your baking pan and freeze for five minutes allowing the chocolate inside to harden and cool completely.

  • Once the chocolate inside the cookie has hardened, dip each cookie into the melted chocolate, place back onto the lightly floured baking sheets with parchment paper and into the freezer for 10-15 minutes.

  • In a separate small microwave safe bowl, heat one cup of your white candy melts on 50% power for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until melted white chocolate can easily pour into a decorating bag.
  • Cut a small tip off the end of your decorating bag, use the white icing bag to draw the football laces onto each chocolate covered Nutter butter and let the chocolate harden.

As an alternative, you can also use Wilton sparkle gel in white for the lines instead of the white chocolate melts.

We used Colorful lollipop sticks but you could also try using craft sticks for the football cake pops.
