4th of July is just around the corner and we love to throw parties for our family and friends. It doesn’t have to be expensive or overwhelming to throw a fun party.
Today I wanted to show you 5 tips to throw a fun 4th of July party.
1. Use Your Crock pot.
Using your crock pot is one of the best ways to save time when you are throwing a 4th of July Party. I love it because you just set it and forget it. Since it is Summer, I highly suggest you consider our Dr Pepper Cherry BBQ Chicken Recipe – It is delicious!
Now this is just one of many delicious crock pot recipes that we have shared with you. You can see them all on our crock pot recipes page. You will be able to find an easy recipe that will easily feed a crowd.
2. Use the Grill
We love our grill – don’t you? I just love grilled food and when we are throwing a 4th of July BBQ we love to grill our sides. Since we make crock pot chicken sandwiches, we then grill our sides. From grilled corn, to grilled zucchini, we love using the grill to make huge batches of side dishes. I highly suggest you use your grill to cook for a crowd.
3. Have fun drinks on hand.
It is 4th of July so you have to have your coolers stocked with fun drinks for the whole family. We ask everyone that is coming to to the party to bring some drinks. Since it is hot, we got through the sodas pretty quickly here. My kids are loving the Dr. Pepper Cherry® right now – in fact, it is probably their favorite.
You can find the Dr. Pepper Cherry® limited edition flavor available at select Safeway or Albertsons stores this summer! Planning some family fun? Try these limited edition flavors , they’ll be such a hit!
4. Play FREE Games.
Playing games doesn’t have to be expensive. Usually the classic games are the best. Every year on 4th of July we play a family kick ball game or a family soccer game. Either way, you don’t have to spend a fortune.

5. Make frugal and festive desserts.
My kids love our American Flag 4th of July Fruit Kabobs. They are very frugal to make and the kids can help. Oh you can also make our frugal 4th of July Jello Treats. They are fun and the kids devoured them. Also, they are both so nice on the wallet because the ingredients are so simple.
That is how we like to throw our 4th of July parties on a budget. What do you like to do?
