We love Fanta at our house and we LOVE ice cream even more. One afternoon we thought – why not put them together? Would it make a delicious ice cream float recipe? It absolutely did! This Fanta Ice Cream Float is a favorite around here! You are going to love it!
Fanta Ice Cream Float
This Orange Ice Cream Float is so quick and and easy! You will wonder why you didn’t make it sooner. The kids love it and I must admit, I was pretty impressed too. 🙂 The vanilla ice cream goes perfectly with the orange soda. Yum! It’s the best treat ever. Perfect for a hot day to cool everyone off. It’s incredibly simple to make and inexpensive too. My kind of treat. 🙂 I think the orange with the vanilla ice cream taste like one of those Creamsicle bars. It makes me think of childhood and just long summer days that are carefree….Oh to be a kid again.
If you are the house where all the kids go, you know snacks can get expensive. Treat everyone to one of these floats the next time you have a house full! It is sure to be a hit with everyone and won’t break the bank to feed a crowd. I’m definitely putting this on my snack list for sure! Anything that will feed a crowd, not bust the budget and can be made quickly is my kind of recipe!
Once we learned how to make an ice cream float, we loved it!
We just loved this easy and delicious dessert. It is perfect for an after school treat or on a HOT Saturday afternoon. Really it is good anytime. 🙂 We all just love it! Now we are experimenting with different types of floats and it’s so much fun! This would also be a really cool idea for a party. You could have all sorts of different soda and ice cream. I think people would love making their own float. Set out a bunch of cups and everyone can just make what they prefer. So fun!
Fanta Ice cream Float
You only need 2 ingredients – A Can of Fanta and some vanilla ice cream.
All we did is add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to our cup and pour over a can of Fanta orange drink. Of course, this would be delicious with any of the Fanta flavors… I am thinking Grape would be wonderful! The ideas are endless!
Serve with a spoon and straw and you have yourself a fun treat in just a matter of minutes.
We were actually swimming that afternoon and it didn’t take much work to get the kids out of the pool to try these ice cream floats. They were all eager to try the fanta ice cream float. Every single person loved it and asked for more! It’s rare everyone likes the same thing around here. 🙂 But we are all fans of ice cream floats. They are just so yummy!
The next time you have some friends over, grab some fanta and some ice cream for a kid approved dessert! Everyone will love these ice cream floats.

We used mason jars but the floats would be pretty in ice cream float glasses. You might also want to grab a few of the longer straws. I like to get the ones in fun designs but any will do.
This set that comes with glasses and straws is really neat. We use it for floats and milk shakes. Sometimes, I also make this Easy Fruit Smoothie Recipe and it’s so pretty in the clear glass cups! If you prefer a smaller glass, this set is really pretty too. Sometimes, you can find pretty glasses at the dollar store too. Learn what to buy at dollar store to save money! I’m always looking for a good deal.
We love ice cream floats so much, we even like to make Root Beer Float Popsicles. If you like root beer floats, you must try this! Popsicles are so refreshing on a hot day! I bet you could easily turn any ice cream float into a Popsicle. So tasty! You will save a lot of money and they will taste much better than those store bought popsicles. It’s fun trying new combinations and seeing what everyone likes the best. You might be like us and like them all. 🙂
