How to Make Pizza Burger

Step 1 – In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper together. Use either your hands or a sturdy spoon.

Step 2 – Form the mixture into 4 large, thick patties. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties to the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes until browned. Flip patties & continue cooking.

Step 3 – Top each patty with approximately 1 ½ tablespoons of pizza sauce, 1 slice of cheese and 6 slices of pepperoni per patty. Place lid over skillet and let the cheese melt.

Step 4 – While the cheese is melting, spread the butter on the buns and toast them in a clean skillet over medium high heat or in the oven ona baking sheet for a few minutes until golden brown.

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, stir together the ground beef, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper together. Use either your hands or a sturdy spoon.
  • Form the mixture into 4 large, thick patties.
  • Preheat a large skillet over medium high heat.
  • Add the patties to the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes until browned.
  • Flip the patties but do not press them down and cook for 4-5 minutes until the patties have an internal temperature of 155-160 degrees F.
  • Top each patty with approximately 1 ½ tablespoons of pizza sauce, 1 slice of cheese and 6 pepperonis per patty.
  • Turn the heat off, place a lid over the skillet, and let the patties sit for a few minutes until the cheese is melted.
  • While the cheese is melting, spread the butter on the buns and toast them in a clean skillet over medium high heat for a few minutes until golden brown.
  • Lay the patties on the bottom buns and place the top buns on top. Serve warm and enjoy!
