Frequently Asked Questions

How do you Know When a Skillet Cookie is Done?

We bake cookie until the top is golden brown. Make sure to not overcook as the cookie will continue to cook in the hot skillet.

What to Use if you Don’t have a Cast Iron Skillet?

You can still make this recipe if you do not have a cast iron skillet. You can use any 10-inch nonstick oven safe skillet. The results maybe slightly different but it will still be delicious.

Can I Make Ahead of Time?

We think this cookie is best served warm right from the oven. But if you prefer before you top with ice cream, slice and store in an airtight container. You can then reheat in the microwave and serve. The leftovers will last about 3 days.

How to Serve Skillet Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie

We recommend serving with scoops of vanilla ice cream or you favorite ice cream. You can drizzle with chocolate syrup for even more chocolate flavor.
