There is something about this classic party punch recipe that everyone loves. The combination of the sweet sherbet mixed with the carbonation of the lemon lime soda just makes this a delicious party punch recipe!

This cherry limeade recipe version is definitely a fun twist too. We like to add a slice of lime and a cherry to our punch glasses, but that is totally optional! It gives it a little extra touch and reminds us of a classic cherry limeade.

You could even cover the top of your punch bowl with sliced limes for a little something extra!

Ingredients for easy punch:

You only need 2 easy ingredients for this punch recipe.

  • Lime Sherbet
  • Cherry 7-Up

How to make Cherry Limeade Sherbet Punch:

Punch Bowl

First, you will need to find a punch bowl or really, any large bowl will do. I love this punch bowl. It is a cake stand and punch bowl in one. You can flip it over and turn it into a punch bowl so you get more for your buck.

Cherry 7-Up added to Lime Sherbet

After you have you punch bowl ready, simply spoon the lime sherbet into the punch bowl. I usually how the sherbet to set out a room temperature for 20-30 minutes to soften some as it mixes easier into the punch this way.

Next, pour the Cherry 7-up over the sherbet and stir it all together. If you do not have Cherry 7-up you can use any lemon lime soda.

If you want a little extra cherry flavor, especially if you’re using a basic lemon lime soda instead of Cherry 7-Up, add a splash of the cherry juice in with the soda and sherbet mixture and combine.

Lastly, pour this mixture into punch glasses. I usually use a ladle or a large spoon so that I don’t make a huge mess. If you don’t have either one of those, you could also use an extra cup.

Top each glass with a slice lime and a cherry! The limes and the cherries are optional but I think it adds a ton of this recipe so I definitely recommend including those when serving.  It is as easy as that!
