How to Make Chicken Broccoli Stir Fry

Step 1 – In a small bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients. Set aside.

Step 2 – Heat half of the olive oil in a large wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces and spread them out into a single layer. Let them cook for 1 minute without moving them so that they get a good sear on them and then continue to stir fry them for 5-6 minutes until cooked through and golden brown.  Set chicken aside.

Step 3 – Add the remaining oil to the pan. Add broccoli florets and onions to the pan and sauté for 3-4 minutes until onions are soft and the broccoli is tender but still crispy. Reduce the heat on the pan to low.

Step 4 – Pour the prepared sauce over the broccoli and onions. Stir fry for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.

Step 5 – Return the tender chicken back to the pan. Stir for approximately 30 seconds until the chicken is coated with the sauce and is heated through.
