Very delicious but can you use cornstarch and have it come out the same? Thanks!
Yes, cornstarch should work instead of flour in this recipe. Thank you so much for the positive review!
Do you think I could make this gluten free by swapping out the flour for cornstarch?
Yes or you can use gluten free 1 to 1 flour and that will work great!
I always love Marry Me Chicken but having a crock pot option is such a great time saver- especially after a long day of work. I used chicken thighs because that’s what I had on hand, and added a little crushed red pepper, and it was fantastic.
This is quickly becoming a family favorite. It’s only my husband and myself, so I only make 4 breasts, and we eat eat twice. It’s so delicious the only thing different I do is I add fresh mushrooms, they go great if you like them.
I’m so glad to hear this Michelle – Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for updating the nutritional info! We try to get lots of good protein in our diet & this recipe is awesome AND tastes great for leftovers (I double the recipe always!)
?
Hi, love the recipe!
Just wondering about the nutrition facts-it says ea serving is 2g protein. Is that a typo? How with 6 chicken breasts would think more like 15-20g protein per serving? Maybe I misread something?
Thanks!
Yes, you’re correct that was an error in the nutritional information. This meal has 27 grams of protein per serving and I have corrected it in the recipe card. Thank you!
Great recipe and everyone loved it. I halved lengthwise then pounded the chicken breasts because they were thick.
This recipe is amazing! Quick question: if I want to make a lot of pasta for it, would you recommend doubling the sauce portion? Thank you!
Yes, I would double the sauce to make sure that there is plenty for your pasta.
Would I cook for 6-7 hours in a 7 quart crock pot?
Yes, that will work great.
Delicious and easy! I added kale at the end and used half and half instead of heavy cream and grape tomatoes instead of sun dried tomatoes because that’s what we had and it still turned out great! Thanks for the crockpot version of this yummy dish!
Can I sub almond flour for the all-purpose flour?
Yes that should work
Just made this for my husband and I and it is DELISH!! Perfection. Going in my recipe cards and looking forward to making this a million more times. Thank you!!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it – Thanks for sharing!
so what if i added the heavy cream right away? ???
That will be ok.
Wonderful recipe! I browned the chicken dredged in seasoned flour. Instead of heavy cream, I used cream cheese. A fantastic recipe, and so easy! Thank you!!
Do you think this recipe could be made in the Instant Pot?
Yes, you can brown the chicken breasts on the sauté setting of the instant pot. Clean off the bottom of the instant pot insert, then add in the other ingredients except for the heavy cream. Seal and cook on high pressure for 18 minutes with a quick release. Stir in the heavy whipping cream and heat on the sauté setting for a few minutes until the cream is heated through.
Love simplicity and good flavor! Always a win! Only difference is I seasoned my chicken breast to preference before searing!
So glad you loved it. Thank you for commenting!
Loved how easy it was to make! Appreciated that once I threw it in the crockpot after pan searing I just left for the day. For my taste buds I needed more flavor. So I ended up sprinkling on garlic powder, smoked paprika and some additional sun dried tomatoes at the end when I added the cream. It didn’t make as much sauce as I would have liked. I saved over rice with some crisp garlic/butter naan bread.
Thank you for commenting!
New family-friendly staple! I’d order it from a restaurant if it were on the menu. Super easy too!
Can I cut my breast into chunks instead of whole and what would my cook time be? I want to make for 12 people.
You could lower the cook time by an hour.
This is the tastiest, most satisfying and delicious chicken recipe ever!!!! The flavors come together so well. Absolutely a favorite!!
