Why We Love Strawberry Popsicles

Three simple ingredients is all that you need to make this frozen sweet treat. We love that that the popsicles are sweetened with natural sweetness that you can’t enjoy the taste of the strawberries and they are dairy-free.

The lemon juice combined with the sweet strawberries make a delicious popsicle. It is so amazing and even better on a hot summer day! They taste better than store bought with amazing flavor.

There isn’t anything better than an ice cold popsicle on a hot day. We all have great memories of eating popsicles in the summer as a child.

It is the simple things in life.

Real Fruit Popsicles are a family favorite treat and we like to make with a variety of ingredients. Try these delicious variations to beat the heat!

  • ½ teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Cup of Greek Yogurt for Yogurt Popsicles
  • Use Lime Juice instead of Lemon Juice

How to Make Strawberry Popsicles

  • Step 1 – Chop Strawberries – Chop fresh strawberries to prepare them for the food processor.

Step 3 – Pour into Molds – Once ingredients have been mixed together, pour Strawberry Puree mixture into molds and insert popsicle stick, place in the freezer and freeze until solid. Then serve and enjoy!

How Do You Remove the Popsicle from the Mold?

Once your popsicle is frozen solid in the mold, now it is time to enjoy them. The best option in removing from the mold is running the mold under water for a minute. Then carefully try and wiggle the popsicle free of the mold.

If it doesn’t immediately come out, then run it under the water again. Make sure you don’t get water inside the mold. Also, don’t force it out of the mold or you can break the popsicle.

Can I Substitute With Another Fruit?

Yes! We love all different frozen fruit or fresh fruit popsicle options. Here are some of my favorites:

  • Blueberries
  • Raspberries
  • Mangos
  • Pineapples
  • Peaches

You can also mix in any of these options with strawberries or make your own creation.

How Long Does it Take for these to Freeze?

We have found that it takes about 5 to 6 hours to get the strawberry fruit popsicles frozen. We are always want to dig into them a little to early. But we have found that the inside is still juicy.

It is best to make them the night before and let them freeze overnight. This way you are not watching the clock hoping they get done quicker.

Popsicle Mold Recommendation

If you need a set of molds, they are pretty inexpensive. Just order the one you prefer.

You may want to order more than one set. We use these a ton! It’s so fun to try a new popsicle recipe.

Can I Double the Recipes?

You will feel good knowing that you are providing a healthy snack for your guest.

Can I use Frozen Strawberries instead of Fresh?

If you don’t have any fresh strawberries, try using frozen strawberries! These popsicles will still be delicious! You can use slice or whole frozen strawberries. We prefer to use the slice ones as they blend easier.
Be sure to let the strawberries thaw before blending in the food processor. I love how many different ways you can make popsicles. Check out more of our Frozen Strawberry Recipes.

Can I Use Any Type of Sugar?

We love adding sugar to these homemade popsicles. If we didn’t add the sugar, the popsicles would be a little tart. Feel free to add more or less, depending on how sweet you want them.
If you do not want to use white sugar, you can use honey instead. You can also use natural sugar such as monk fruit for a healthier version.
