My kids love pizza and if we have a recipe for pizza then they are hooked. This may not be pizza, but because it is called chicken pizza, my kids were all in!
They loved the pepperonis and quite frankly it gave the chicken a wonderful flavor. Plus, it really can’t get any easier since the slow cooker does all the work!
Crockpot Pepperoni Pizza Chicken
My kids like this recipe with just pepperoni but it is also really tasty with all of your favorite pizza toppings. Try adding mushrooms, green or red peppers, onion and whatever you normally eat on your pizza.
It is a great way to change up this recipe and eat it different ways.

We use this Homemade Pizza sauce recipe and it is so good. Of course you can purchase store bought pizza sauce but this homemade recipe is so delicious and very simple to make.
I actually make a huge batch and keep in the freezer for recipes like this.
Ingredients for Slow Cooker Pizza casserole:
- 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts (frozen)
- 1 cup of homemade pizza sauce (or jarred sauce)
- 1/2 cup water
- Several slices of pepperoni (as many as you want)
- Any pizza toppings you want (onions, green peppers, sausage, …)
- Mozzarella cheese to top
- 16 oz. Cooked pasta
How to make Crock Pot Pizza Chicken Recipe:
- Spray your crockpot with non-stick spray. (You can also use crock pot liners to make clean up a breeze. )
- Lay the chicken in the bottom of the crockpot.
- Top with your pizza toppings.
- Then pour over your pizza sauce and the water. (no need to mix)
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
- Once it is cooked. Place chicken and toppings on the pasta. Top with Mozzarella cheese.
Tip for Pizza Chicken Recipe:
I use a small food chopper or processor to quickly and easily chop onions and green peppers. If you do not have one of these, I highly recommend them. They are such a time saver.
I usually just chop the entire vegetable and freeze what I don’t need. It’s so nice to be able to just take diced onion or bell peppers out of the freezer for recipes.
It saves a lot of time being able to grab items from the freezer for Crockpot meals like this!
