How to Make Garlic Bread Cheese Sticks
- Step 1 – Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.

Step 2 – Roll the dough out on a lightly greased baking sheet or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cut the bread dough into 10 equal-sized rectangles. A pizza cutter makes this really easy!

Step 3 – Arrange 1 mozzarella cheese stick on top of each piece of dough.

Step 4 – Roll up the pizza dough around the mozzarella pinching the seams closed. Place them back on the pan with the pinched seam down.

Step 5 – Melt the butter. Brush the pizza sticks with the butter. Sprinkle with the Garlic Salt and Parmesan cheese. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
- Step 6 – Enjoy warm with a side of marinara sauce or garlic butter for dipping if desired. We love serving them with our Homemade Pizza sauce.
Expert Tips
- Prepare Baking Sheet – We recommend lining the baking sheet with parchment paper. This helps to prevent the breadsticks from sticking and makes cleanup a breeze.
- Pizza Dough – Cut the pizza dough evenly with a pizza cutter. This will help that the cheese sticks cook evenly.

What can I use instead of pizza dough? My husband and I are elderly and pizza crust is sometimes to hard for us.
Kathy – I have only made this with pizza crust so I’m not really sure. I think that crescent rolls or refrigerate biscuits would work great too but I haven’t tested it yet. If you try it out, please let me know how they turn out!
I seen little green specks on top of the breadsticks when adding the parm cheese, parsley or oregano?
Sounds yummy! For the parmisan cheese is it grated or the kind you buy in the jar already grated?
I use the grated kind from the jar for this recipe. Thank you!
This looks like a must try with your homemade pizza sauce for dipping. Thinking a tasty change up would be to add some mini pepperoni slices inside or change the profile to spicy sticks with pepperjack cheese. YUM!!!!
Sounds great
Ill give it a try
