  • Perfect cheese ball for a party!
  • If you are serving at your next football party, make it in the shape of a football. Your fans will love this.
  • If you love bacon as much as we do, you can add some crumbled bacon for that extra flavor or even bacon bits would work.
  • You can also do mini cheese ball. These would be perfect for a charcuterie board. Just simply roll them in mini balls and insert toothpicks in each one.
  • Try different types of cheeses – Cheddar is our favorite but have also used pepper jack cheese, Monterrey Jack Cheese, or Colby Cheese. All would be a perfect combination with this cheese ball.
  • You can also use onion powder if you didn’t want green onions.
  • If you like to add a little spice, you can add in some hot sauce.

How long do cheese ball last?

This is the perfect appetizer to make ahead of time. This is always a plus for me especially during the holidays. I try to find recipes, especially appetizers that I can make ahead of time so they can be easily served without a lot of effort.

This cheese ball last about 2 weeks in the refrigerator. Just make sure that you are using fresh ingredients so that doesn’t impact the freshness of the cheese ball.

Can you freeze cheese balls?

Yes, you can freeze a cheese ball. Our recommendation is that you freeze it before you roll into the toppings.

Then wrap your cheese ball in plastic wrap and place in a freezer safe container. This lasts about 1 mont. Once you are ready to serve, thaw and roll in your toppings.
