Ingredients

Ingredients needed - cream cheese, instant pudding mix, vanilla yogurt, whipped topping, fresh strawberries, bananas, lemon juice
  • Cream Cheese – Make sure cream cheese is softened for the best creamy texture
  • Instant Cheesecake Pudding Mix – Feel free to use other flavors of pudding mix
  • Vanilla Yogurt – You can use other flavors of yogurt
  • Whipped Topping – We like using Cool Whip
  • Fresh Strawberries and Bananas – Slice the strawberries in bite size pieces
  • Fresh Lemon Juice – We recommend fresh squeezed lemon juice

Substitutions and Additions

  • Yogurt – We used vanilla yogurt in this recipe, but you strawberry yogurt or any flavor.
  • Add-Ins – Feel free to add in other fresh fruits with this mixture. Blueberries, raspberries, grapes, or blackberries. There are many options when making this salad.
  • Nuts – This strawberry cheesecake salad would be delicious with some added chopped nuts.
  • Miniature marshmallows – Mini marshmallows are an easy and fun addition to this fruit salad.

How to Make Strawberry Banana Cheesecake Salad

Step 1 – Beat Cream Cheese – In a large mixing bowl, whip cream cheese until soft and creamy with an electric mixer. 

Mixing in the yogurt, pudding mix into the cream cheese mixture in a bowl with a container of cool whip on the side

Step 2 – Mix in Pudding Mix and Yogurt – Add in the pudding mix and yogurt.  Mix until well combined creamy cheesecake filling.

Step 3 – Fold in whipped topping – Fold in the whipped cream until combined with cream cheese mixture. Cover and chill these cheesecake mixture in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Step 4 – Mix together fruit & lemon juice – In a large bowl, combine the slice strawberries and sliced bananas and lemon juice.  

  • Step 5 – Gently mix in fruit – Right before you are ready to serve, gently fold in the strawberries and sweet bananas.  Be careful not to smash the fruit and do not over mix.
  • Step 6 – Serve – Serve cold and enjoy.

Recipe Tips

  • Cream Cheese – Make sure that the cream cheese is soft before making so that it’s easy to mix with the other ingredients.  
  • Combine Ingredients – Before adding in the fruit, make sure the ingredients are combined until creamy. We recommend combining the cream ingredients with a stand mixer or a hand held mixer.
  • Fruit – Make sure to mix the fruit with the lemon juice. This helps to prevent the bananas from turning brown.
  • Ripe Bananas – For best results we recommend using ripe bananas for this recipe.
  • Make in advance. This fruit salad can be made in advance.  However, I recommend waiting to stir the fruit in until you are ready to serve. 
  • Double the recipe – You might want to double this recipe if preparing it for a gathering. Everyone will love it and the recipe is very easy to double.

This dessert salad is perfect for a side dish at your summer BBQ’s or for an afternoon snack. It is loaded with flavor and always the first to go when we serve it.

Serve with your grilled chicken, grilled burgers or fried pork chops. This creamy and delicious fruit salad can also be used as a pie filling mix.

How to Store

Store your leftover fruit salad in the fridge in a air tight container. It is best to be enjoyed within about 3 days. Keep in mind, the longer it sits in the fridge the fruit could get mushy and turn brown.

Instructions
