Ingredients

- Saltine Crackers – You can use your favorite crackers such as Ritz Crackers is a great substitute.
- Butter – We used unsalted butter
- Brown Sugar – Feel free to use light or dark brown sugar for a rich taste
- Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips – Dark Chocolate, milk, or even white chocolate all work beautifully.
- Toppings – Use half cup of toppings of your choice such as sprinkles, crushed pretzels, chopped nuts, festive M&Mโs, etc.

How to Make Christmas Crack

Step 1 – Preheat oven to 350ยฐF. Line a large baking sheet with foil, then lightly coat with non-stick spray. Arrange the saltines in a single layer, covering the entire pan.

Step 2 – In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Bring to a rolling boil, then reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 3 minutes, stirring often. You can even melt in the microwave in a microwave safe bowl.

Step 3 – Quickly pour the toffee mixture over the crackers, spreading evenly to coat. Bake for 5 minutes.

Step 4 – Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Let sit for 1โ2 minutes, then spread evenly once softened with a spatula. Sprinkle with your favorite toppings while the chocolate is still warm.
Step 5 – Refrigerate for about 2 hours, or until firm. Peel off the foil and break into pieces before serving.
