- Prepare the chicken – First, put the diced chicken in the skillet on medium high heat until cooked. Make sure you have added olive oil to cook the chicken in.
- Season the chicken – Second, sprinkle salt and pepper. Add cajun seasoning and tomatoes and mix together.
- Add in the Cream – Now, add the heavy whipping cream. You want to heat this on low for a few minutes as the sauce thickens. Don’t bring it to a boil.
- Add in cook pasta – Finally, add the al dente pasta and heat a few more minutes. You can add chicken broth if you prefer a thinner consistency.

Storing Cajun Chicken Alfredo Sauce is easy to do. Place leftovers in an air tight container in the refrigerator for about 5 days. We think the leftovers taste even better the next day as the ingredients really marinate together.
We like to store in individual containers so that they are easy to grab for my husband and I for lunch the next day.

Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta Recipe
- 1 lb chicken breast (diced into 1 inch pieces)
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 can Fire Roasted Diced Tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 1 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 12 oz. Penne Pasta (cooked and drained)
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Pepper
- 1 Tbsp Fresh Parsley (chopped – optional)
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the chicken and season with the salt and pepper.
- Cook the chicken for 10-12 minutes until the chicken is a golden brown.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, cajun seasoning and mix well. Cook uncovered for 3-5 minutes until the sauce is simmering slightly.
- Stir in the cream and heat just until the cream is heated through (1-2 minutes).
- Stir in the cooked pasta right before serving.
- Serve topped with the fresh parsley and enjoy!
