How to Use Garlic Butter for Bread
We absolutely love this. The flavor is so intense and just tastes better than anything store bought. Once you make this, you will see why we love it so much.
It is hard to go back to store bought garlic butter after you have tried this amazing recipe. It is full of delicious butter flavor and combining the garlic makes the perfect spread.
- Our favorite way to use the garlic spread on bread is heat the garlic butter in a saucepan for about 3 minutes
- Cut the sides of your french bread or italian bread in half and place on a cookie sheet.
- Place bread under broil and toast until golden brown. Make sure to watch carefully.
- Once done, remove from oven and brush you bread with the garlic spread.
- We will also put a little mozzarella on top of the garlic butter and place back in the oven about 1 minute
- The italian bread will bake a golden brown. The crust will be so crunchy on the outside and soft and yummy on the inside.
Give it a try and let us know how you like it. It is going to be a hit.

First of all, I love your recipes. I would like to try your garlic butter recipe, but I don’t have a hand mixer. Any suggestions?
I’m so glad you are enjoying the recipe Kerstin. You can make this garlic butter without a hand held mixer. Mix the ingredients together with a whisk and whisk it vigorously to get it to the whipped consistency.
What temp would you set the oven to? And how long would you cook it? I’m planning on steak and potato foil packets. Yum ?
Pairs so well with toasted bread!

This garlic butter is delicious and easy to make.
I LOVE garlic… & garlic bread. I have both a garlic press & a microplaner to mince my garlic. I’ve made this several times. My question is when I use either method to mince my garlic, the garlic turns very spicy hot, & it becomes nearly inedible to me. Yet I see chefs on TV use these methods over & over. Am I using old garlic that it becomes so spicy hot? If I melt the butter with the garlic & heat it a few minutes, will that calm the heat? Any hints or advice would be so appreciated. Thank you!!
Garlic can get spicy when mincing it and heat does help reduce this spiciness. I recommend microwaving the cloves for 30-45 seconds before mincing it and it helps reduce the spiciness of the garlic. Let me know if that works for you!
I have to say this way better than store bought. You can taste the difference right away. So good and much healthier than store bought. Thanks again
