Recipe Notes

ย
Recipe Tips
  • Cutting Slices – When cutting the dough, I cut the log in half, then each section in half again and again to get the 16 pieces to ensure that they are as even as possible. You want the pieces to be even so that they bake evenly.
  • Adding Parmesan Cheese – The parmesan cheese for the topping on the rolls is optional but I love the flavor that it adds to these pepperoni rolls.
  • Use Parchment Paper – Prevents sticking and makes cleanup easy.
  • Seal the Edges – Keeps the cheese and filling from leaking out.
  • Make Ahead – Assemble, refrigerate overnight, and bake fresh when needed.
Variations Ideas
  • Ham & Cheese Rolls – Swap pepperoni for ham and add Swiss or cheddar. This is my kids favorite variation.
  • Veggie Pizza Rolls – Add mushrooms, olives, and bell peppers and skip the meat.
  • Buffalo Chicken Rolls – Fill with shredded buffalo chicken and mozzarella for the ultimate appetizer recipe.
  • Breakfast Rolls – Use scrambled eggs, bacon, and cheddar cheese for the best brunch addition.
