Save time and money when you learn how to freeze pancakes. You will love having these on hand for busy mornings.

How to freeze pancakes
One of my easiest ways to help you save money and TIME is to freeze your homemade pancakes! You only have to make the mess once, but you can freeze enough for 3 or 4 breakfasts. Now you can enjoy homemade pancakes during the weekday.
This saves you time and money!
Don’t buy those premade frozen pancakes (unless they are free of course). Instead make your own at home and save a ton of money.
We do this all the time. My kids can now have a fun breakfast anytime of the week without me messing up the kitchen.
It is that simple!
By the way – get your kids in the kitchen. Our kiddos (of all ages) love to help cook. Pancakes and waffles are one of the easiest recipes to have your kids help with.
You can go HERE to purchase yourself a griddle like ours. We love making pancakes with a griddle. It makes it MUCH easier to make big batches.
Enjoy!

How to freeze waffles and how to freeze pancakes:
Simply make your pancakes like you normally would (I have a great homemade pancake recipe that is super easy and frugal friendly here).
Just make sure you make extra. (I normally will make a triple or a quadruple batch)

Way to Freeze Them
Allow to cool completely. I just let them sit on the counter while we eat our breakfast (or our brinner). See my picture above… I was telling the truth – I make a LOT of pancakes or waffles all at once.
Once they are cool, lay them out on a cookie sheet. Place in the freezer for a few hours.
Allow the pancakes to freeze completely through. Then place them in a freezer bag. I like to use wax paper in between each pancake.
How do you freeze pancakes without them sticking?
The reason, you freeze them like this, is so you can easily just pull out one or 2 pancakes as you need them. This is called flash freezing.

How to reheat pancakes:
To reheat them, just place in the microwave and heat in 20 second intervals until heated through.
You can also use the oven if you prefer.

Skip the store bought pancakes. Make your own at home and freeze them.
It really makes a difference in our grocery budget and saves time as well. No need to make a trip to the grocery store when it is in the freezer.
How long does pancake mix last?
Pancake mix will actually go bad which is why I like to make big batches and freeze. Check out Does Pancake Mix Go Bad.
