This Chick-fil-A Chicken Tortilla Soup copycat recipe is hearty, flavorful, and loaded with tender chicken, beans, corn, and warm spices. An easy homemade version of the restaurant favorite that’s perfect for cozy dinners!

Chickfila Chicken Tortilla Soup is a creamy soup that is loaded with beans, chicken, corn and seasoning. This is one of our favorite soups at Chick-Fil-A. But now we can make it at home. Every spoonful is loaded with tender chicken, bold spices, and that signature Tex-Mex flavor that makes the original so crave-worthy.

Ingredients

- Olive Oil – Use your favorite oil
- White Onion, finely chopped – Learn How to Freeze Chopped Onion to prep ahead of time
- Minced Garlic – Learn How to Mince Garlic Cloves
- Cumin – If you are out, see Best Substitute for Cumin
- Dried Oregano – Substitute with Italian Seasoning if you are out
- Salt – Use kosher salt or sea salt for the best flavor
- Cannellini Beans – Any white beans can be substituted
- Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilies – We usually use a can of Rotel
- Cream-Style Corn and Whole Kernel Corn – No need to drain
- Black Beans – No need to drain. Substitute with your favorite types of beans
- Shredded Cooked Chicken – Rotisserie Chicken is a great option
- Lime, juiced – We recommend using fresh lime juice for the best flavor
- Toppings of your Choice – Add your favorite toppings

How to Make Copycat Chick Fil A Chicken Tortilla Soup

Step 1 – Heat the olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium high heat on the stove top. Sauté the chopped onions for 5 minutes until tender. Then add in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minutes until aromatic

Step 3 – Place 2 cans of the Cannellini beans in a blender (do not drain first) and blend whole beans until smooth.

Step 4 – Then added the puree beans, remaining can of cannellini beans, diced tomatoes with green chilis, cream style corn, beans, corn, and shredded chicken to the pot. Do not drain any of the can items before adding them to the pot.

Step 5 – Stir well to combine and allow the soup to simmer over medium heat for approximately 15-20 minutes until combined and heated through. Then add in the lime juice. Taste test and add more salt if needed at this time. Serve with your favorite toppings in your favorite bowl and enjoy.

- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil

- 1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
- 2 tsp Cumin
- 2 tsp Dried Oregano

- 3 cans Cannellini Beans 15 oz each
- 2 cans Diced Tomatoes with Green Chilies Rotel – 10 oz each
- 1 can Cream Style Corn 15 oz
- 1 can Whole Kernel Corn 15 oz
- 1 can Black Beans 15 oz
- 1 lb Shredded Cooked Chicken
- 1 Lime juiced
- Toppings of your Choice
Instructions

- Vegetables – Cook the vegetables before adding the remaining ingredients to enhance the flavor.
- Beans – You can change the beans if you prefer. We have used navy beans and the soup was still delicious.
- Don’t Skip the Toppings – Tortilla strips are key to that Chick-fil-A vibe.

This Chick-Fil-A Chicken Tortilla Soup is only available at Chick-Fil-A during the winter months. Since this is only a seasonal item on the menu, we created this popular creamy soup recipe so you can make it at home any day of the year.
We like to make soups year round no matter the weather outside. Since this ingredients are simple, makes it budget friendly.
Store any leftover soup in an airtight container for up to 5 days in the refrigerator. We really enjoy this soup leftover as the ingredients marinate together overnight which makes it very flavorful.
We recommend heating the leftovers on the stovetop. This ensure that it heats thoroughly. This soup can be heated in the microwave in a microwave safe container.
If heating in the microwave, heat in 1 minute intervals until heated thoroughly.
This recipe freezes great. Sometimes I make a double batch of Chick-Fil-A Chicken Tortilla Soup to have the extra to freeze. The consistency is the same as the day you made it. Thaw in the fridge and then reheat and you have delicious soup for those busy nights.
We like freezing this soup in freezing safe individual containers. This makes a perfect lunch for my husband.
If stored properly this soup will stay good for about 3 to 4 months in the freezer.
