Double chocolate chip brownies
Today I wanted to show you how we made double chocolate chip brownies from scratch in minutes. Skip the mix and make these amazing brownies with just a few ingredients and very little time.
They are luscious and amazing for the best treat or dessert. My kids go crazy over them and they are so simple. This recipe is definitely a mom win. 🙂
We have people over all the time in the Spring and Summer. We have small parties where we get two or three families together to just play.
The kids usually play basketball, or some other sport, and the adults sit around and get some good old fashion adult time. Everyone loves these brownies so I often mix up a batch for everyone to enjoy.
This is the best brownie recipe with chocolate chips!
Ingredients for homemade chocolate chip brownies:
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- ⅓ cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- ½ cup All-Purpose Flour
- ¼ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Baking Powder
- 2 Eggs
- ½ cup Butter Melted
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup Milk Chocolate Chips
How to make chocolate chip brownies:
First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Next, line an 8X8 baking dish with parchment paper or spray with a non-stick cooking spray.
Stir all ingredients except for the chocolate chips together in a large mixing bowl by hand. Do not over mix.
Stir in ¾ of the chocolate chips gently into the batter.
Pour the batter into the 8X8 pan and top with the remaining chocolate chips.
Bake for 25- 30 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Slice and enjoy!
How do you cut brownies cleanly?
It is important to make sure the brownies are completely cool before you cut them. They will not cut clean and make a mess if you try cut warm brownies.
Another trick is to use a plastic knife instead of a metal knife. Also, wipe the knife clean in between each time you cut. This will really help to give each brownie a clean cut.
Let the kids help!
We love to get the kids together to help with desserts. Just like we talked about before, we love to mix up a moment by baking in the kitchen with the kids. This time my sweet son was helping me make these double chocolate chip brownies for our fun gathering with friends.
He loves helping in the kitchen and shows much pride in his dessert when he shares them with family and friends. This time instead of just making a batch of brownies we decided to mix it up but adding in a 1 cup of chocolate chips and it was definitely a hit.
Everyone loved the extra chocolate. 🙂 The kids were pretty excited about adding in the chocolate chips.
The end result is easy but delicious double chocolate chip brownies. We served them at our last party and the kids devoured them. I’m not going to lie – the adults loved them even more. 🙂
Make sure you have a good pan to make these delicious Brownies.
This recipe calls for an 8×8 baking pan. I just had to replace several of mine and found some on sale on Amazon.
I also like to use parchment paper when I bake. It helps make clean up easy.
If you don’t have a wire rack, they are so handy to help cool the brownies completely if you plan to take them out and then cut them. I would definitely pick up a set if you don’t have any.
They will get used a lot if you bake.
