I liked how the fluff salad turned out overall. I did notice because I didn’t have a big mixing bowl, I had to divide the jello pudding mix into two parts and only needed two tubs of whip topping. And when I mixed the second batch, I saw the partially used bag of marshmallows and realized I accidentally forgot the mini marshmallows by the time I put the mix in a serving bowl. I did notice that you don’t have to add the mini marshmallows if you don’t want to because the fluff has a good thick form to it already. Great recipe.
Hearing that you loved it makes me so happy — thank you for leaving a review! Also, glad to know that the marshmallows are necessary for the texture of the salad!
Can I leave the marshmallows out? My husband is allergic to high fructose?
Yes, I think it will be fine to leave the marshmallow out – Let me know how it turns out!
I have found the exact same recipe and ingredient amounts, with the exception that they call for a 3.6 ounce Strawberry Jell-O. How would that work, if these amounts are used and the other one has high ratings with less Strawberry Jell-O? Wouldn’t the amount of water make it different?
I haven’t tested it yet with the smaller package of Jello mix yet so I’m not sure. I think that you wouldn’t need as much water. I would start with 2 cups and adjust from there as needed.
I loved the delicious strawberry flavor and how easy it was to make!
