I’m guessing you could also used (drained) canned chicken as well? I HATE cooking raw chicken unless I bake it, but if I want to add chicken quickly to a recipe, I’ll just crack open a 12.5 oz can of cooked chicken, chop it up and dump it in my dish.
I do this a LOT with boxed mac and cheese or a Knorr dish.

    1. Carrie Barnard says:

Yes, canned chicken would work great! Just drain it well and add it toward the end since it’s already cooked. Such an easy shortcut for busy nights!
