It seems we are always looking for new ways to jazz up chicken and this Crock Pot Sticky Chicken is a family favorite. With just a few common ingredients you probably already have, chicken gets turned into something really amazing.

My kids love this sauce so much that they spoon it over their veggies. Whatever works to get everyone to eat their vegetables! 🙂

Easy sticky chicken ingredients:

  • brown sugar
  • soy sauce
  • ground ginger
  • minced garlic
  • cayenne (If you don’t have any try one of our Best Cayenne Pepper Substitute)
  • chicken thighs
  • tomato paste
  • water

How to make crock pot sticky chicken:

First, you will need to make the sauce. Combine the brown sugar, soy sauce, tomato paste, ginger, minced garlic, and cayenne pepper in a bowl.

Next, place the chicken thighs in the crock pot. Pour the ingredients in the bowl on top.

Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until done.

When finished, place the chicken on a baking dish.

Preheat the broiler

Combine the remaining tomato paste, ½ cup brown sugar, water, and soy sauce in a small bowl.

Brush over the chicken. Broil the chicken under the broiler for about 5 minutes. This step really adds a little extra something special to the recipe.

Salt and pepper to taste.
