How Long to Air Fry Brownies:

Brownies cooked in the air fryer take about 15 minutes. It will depend on your air fryer but we recommend to check the brownies after 15 minutes. You may need to cook the brownies for 5 minutes longer.

We recommend using a toothpick to see if brownies are finished cooking.

Tips for Making Air Fryer Brownies:

  • Cooking Brownies – Each air fryer cooks differently so the cooking times will vary.  Make sure to check regularly until the brownies are cooked through.
  • Combining Ingredients – Heat the ingredients until melted butter forms. This allows that the sugars and cocoa powder to combine with the butter. Heat in 30 second intervals.
  • Room Temperature Ingredients – We like to mix the ingredients with room temperature eggs for the best texture.
  • Line the Pan – It is best to line the baking pan with parchment paper. This allows you to easily remove the brownies from the pan and for easy cleanup.
  • Brownies need to cool – Before cutting and serving brownies, it is best to let the brownies rest for about 15 minutes.

Variations:

  • Air Fryer Boxed Brownies – Instead of making brownies from scratch, use a brownie mix. This is a great option and it is prepared the same way as the recipe indicates. You may need to adjust your pan size depending the size of your air fryer.
  • Nuts – If you like nuts in your brownies, they can be added with the chocolate chips.
  • Change Chocolate Chips – We used milk chocolate chips in this recipe, but you can use white chocolate or dark chocolate chips.
  • Sprinkles – Feel free to top the brownie batter with sprinkles for color and texture.
  • Crushed Candy – Top the brownies with crushed candy and serve with a side of whipped cream or ice cream.

This brownie recipe can still be made in the oven. If you want to make a large portion, the oven is the way to go.

  • Prepare brownie ingredients as indicated.
  • Pour brownie batter into a prepared baking pan that has been sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Place in a preheated oven at 350 degrees and bake for about 20 minutes.
  • Allow brownies to cool and cut the brownies with a plastic knife.
