Cheesecake is one of my favorite desserts and I love using my air fryer. Making the cheesecake in the air fryer has been a game changer. The cheesecake filling is layered in a graham cracker crust and cooked easily in the air fryer.

Can you Make Cheesecake in the Air Fryer?

Yes, you can make Cheesecake in the Air Fryer. You can even place the springform directly in the air fryer. It will depend on your air fryer but the pan directly in air fryer basket.

It is the perfect solution when you don’t want to heat up the oven or spend a lot of time baking. The air fryer greatly reduces the cooking time and it turns out great. Everything you love about cheesecake is made in the air fryer.

Variations Ideas

This basic cheesecake recipe is delicious the way it is. But there are many different ways to make it for change of flavor and texture. Here are some of my favorites:

  • Cocoa Powder – Add in cocoa powder for a chocolate cheesecake.
  • Oreos – You can easily change the crust to Oreos crust by crushing Oreos in a food processor.
  • Caramel Cheesecake – Stir in some caramel sauce for a delicious caramel cheesecake flavor.

How to Make Cheesecake in an Air Fryer 

For the Crust: 

  • Step 1 – Prepare Pan – Spray a 7X3 springform pan with a non-stick cooking spray and make sure that the springform pan will fit in your air fryer.  Then set it aside.

Step 2 – Crush the Graham Crackers – Place the graham cracker sheets in a food processor and process until they are formed into small graham cracker crumbs.

Step 3 – Prepare the Crust – Mix together the crumbs, melted butter and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl until well combined. Press this mixture into the bottom of your springform pan and have it go up the sides of the pan approximately 1 inch.

  • Step 4 – Freeze Crust – Place the crust into the freezer while you form the cheesecake layer.

Step 6 – Beat Cream Cheese & Sugar – Beat the cream cheese with the sugar in a large stand mixer or with a hand mixer. Mix on medium speed until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Step 7 – Combine with the Rest of Ingredients – Then add in all of the ingredients for the cheesecake layer and mix until creamy and combined.

Step 8 – Add Cheesecake Layer to Crust – Remove the pan from the freezer and pour the cheesecake layer mixture on top evenly.

Step 9 – Cover Pan – Tap the bottom of the pan on the counter to make sure that there are no air bubbles and to ensure that the layer is even. Cover the top of the pan with foil.  

How To Air Fry the Cheesecake: 

  • Step 1 – Prepare Air Fryer – Preheat an Air Fryer to 350 degrees F.  
  • Step 2 – Place pan in air fryer – Place the pan in the Air Fryer basket. 
  • Step 3 – Air Fry Cheesecake – Air Fry at 350 degrees F for 30-35 minutes until the edges are slightly golden browned and the center of the cheesecake is set but still jiggly.  
  • Step 4 – Leave Cheesecake in Air Fryer – Turn the air fryer off but let the cheesecake sit in the Air Fryer for 30 minutes.

Step 5 – Cool Completely – After this time, move to a wire rack to cool completely and then cover in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Step 6 – Remove the Sides – Carefully remove the sides of the springform pan. Serve topped with the cherry pie filling and enjoy!

Recipe Tips

  • Preheat Air Fryer – If your air fryer does not have a preheat option, then run the air fryer at 350 degrees for 5 minutes before cooking the cheesecake. 
  • Crushing Graham Crackers Crumbs – If you do not have a food processor, place the graham crackers in a sealed ziplock bag. Roll with a rolling pan to crush the graham crackers.
  • Prepare Pan – Prepare pan by spraying with cooking spray to ensure that the cheesecake can easily remove the pan.
  • Graham Cracker Crust – Evenly press the graham cracker crust in the spring form pan to ensure it is completely covered.
  • Cheesecake in Pan – Once you have poured the cheesecake in the pan, make sure there are no air bubbles. This will allow the mixture to be creamy and smooth.
  • Slicing the cheesecake –  For nice clean slices, use a sharp knife dipped in water. Make sure to wipe the knife clean after each cut to ensure each slice looks great.
  • Cool Completely – Cool the cheesecake after baking for at least 4 hours. This allows the cheesecake to set and to have the perfect texture.

Recipe Notes
