Why You’ll Love Beef Fried Rice
Beef Fried Rice is a great recipe to clean out the fridge! Skip takeout and make Homemade Beef Fried Rice loaded with thin-sliced steak, rice and tender veggies.

Ingredients

- Vegetable Oil – We recommend using high smoke point oil
- Large Eggs – Lightly Beaten
- Flank Steak – Diced into small pieces
- Peas and Diced Carrots – We like using the frozen blend
- Cloves Garlic (minced) – Learn How to Mince Garlic Cloves
- Cooked Rice – We make long grain white rice

- Low Sodium Soy Sauce – You can also use dark soy sauce or see Best Soy Sauce Substitute
- Topping – Sliced Green Onions and Sesame Seeds to garnish the fried rice when serving

How to Make Beef Fried Rice

Step 1 – In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of the oil over medium high heat. Add in the eggs and scramble them until they are fully cooked. Remove them from the pan to a separate plate.

Step 2 – Add the remaining oil to the same pan and heat over medium high heat. Add in the diced flank steak and cook on high heat for 2-3 minutes per side until the outside of the steak is seared and the steak is cooked through. Remove the steak from the pan to a separate plate.

Step 3 – Add the frozen peas and carrots blend to the pan and sauté for approximately 2 minutes on medium high heat until tender and slightly browned. Add in the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until you can smell the garlic.

Step 4 – Stir in the cooked and cooled rice. Break it up with a spatula and cook it in the skillet for 3-5 minutes until the rice starts to brown slightly.

Step 5 – Drizzle the soy sauce and sesame oil on top of the rice and mix it into the rice.

Step 6 – Add the steak and eggs back to the pan and gently stir it into the rice mixture. Let it cook for a minute to heat through. Serve warm topped with the green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil divided
- 3 large eggs lightly beaten
- 8 ounces Flank Steak diced into small pieces
- 1 cup frozen peas and diced carrots blend
- 3 cloves garlic minced or 1 Tablespoon minced garlic
- 4 cups cooked rice cooled
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 tablespoon soy sauce
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- Sliced Green Onions for garnish
- Sesame Seeds for garnish
Instructions

- Leftover Rice – I find that it’s best to use leftover rice for this recipe. Make sure that the rice is cold as it’s easier to sauté on the skillet when it’s cold.
- Cooking Meat – To ensure that the meat is fully cooked, cook separately in the skillet prior to adding in the other ingredients.
- Leftover Meat – This is a great recipe to use leftover steak which makes this recipe even easier. Fried Rice is my go-to meal when I have leftover meat and veggies.

Generally, I use flank steak for this recipe, but you can use diced round steak, sirloin steak or diced chuck roast instead if you prefer. You can even use cooked ground beef.
