If you love s’mores, try this easy recipe to enjoy everything that you love about them in an easy dip recipe. You can serve this for parties, family movie night, dessert or anytime the craving strikes. It is that easy!

I am so excited for you to try this! You will love being able to enjoy s’mores dip year round despite the weather. This simple dip is the best!

Ingredients:

  • chocolate chips – milk or semi-sweet
  • Mini marshmallows

Serving Options

  • Graham crackers
  • Graham cracker sticks
  • Vanilla wafers
  • Strawberries
  • Pretzels
  • Animal crackers

How to make smores dip:

First, preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

While the oven is preheating, get the skillet ready. We used a cast iron skillets. Put the chocolate chips in the bottom of the skillet.

Next, place in the oven for about 3 to 3 ½ minutes or until the chocolate chips look glossy. Take it out of the oven and top with the mini marshmallows.

You can also sprinkle a few chocolate chips on top if you want to. This is optional but makes it even more decadent.

Finally, put the skillets back in the oven for another 6 to 7 minutes. You just want the marshmallows to be toasted.

What is good with oven baked smores dip?

  • Graham crackers – Just break into pieces.
  • Graham cracker sticks
  • Vanilla wafers
  • Fruit – Strawberries are so yummy and a favorite around here. Pineapple is also good if you like the combination or tart and sweet. Apple slices are yummy too.
  • Pretzels – Any type will do! Twists, sticks, rods or anything.
  • Animal crackers – always a hit with kids

How to make a smores charcuterie board:

We love a good Charcuterie board. This s’mores themed board is such a fun idea.

It is so simple. Just use a large wooden board. Place the 2 small cast iron skillets on the board.

Add all of the dippers around it. Just put groups of each all around the board until it is full.

I like to start with the larger items and then fill in the gaps with the smaller items.

This is so fun and easy for parties! Anytime we have made this, it was always a huge hit! It is so simple and you hardly even need a recipe!

CAN YOU REHEAT S’MORES DIP?

Yes, you can. Just put back in the oven for 4 to 5 minutes. I normally reduce the heat to 350 degrees when reheating.

Just a note- The dip is best eaten fresh when first made but reheating is certainly an option.

Tips for smores dip recipe:

  • We used small 3 inch cast iron skillets but this recipe can easily be adapted if you prefer to use a larger skillet. If you want to make one big pan, use an 8 or 9 inch skillet and an entire bag of chocolate chips. Heat at 350 degrees for 3 to 4 minutes to melt the chocolate. Then put back in for another 2 or 3 minutes so the marshmallows will turn golden brown.
  • You can also use a baking dish if you prefer. Any size will work. Disposable pans make another great option.
  • Leftover chocolate can also be used. Just break up the Hershey bars or whatever chocolate you are using. Melt as instructed above.

Recipe Notes

You can easily make this recipe with any of your favorite type of melting chocolate.
Watch the marshmallows closely while baking to prevent them from burning.
We love serving this dip immediately while warm but you can refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 1 week.  Reheat before enjoying the leftovers to make it soft and melted and easily to dip with your favorite dippers.
