Salsa verde gives any dish such a delicious flavor. It is made with tomatillos, jalapeno peppers, garlic, onion, cilantro and more.

First, go ahead and preheat your oven. Now that you have that taken care of, let’s make this super tasty chicken.

Second, you will need a 9×13 pan and I like to use cooking spray. This helps to make clean up easier.

Next, put the chicken in the pan and pour the salsa all over the chicken. Make sure the chicken is totally covered.

Ingredients

  • 5 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup salsa verde
  • 1 cup monterey jack cheese shredded
  • 1 Bunch cilantro chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • In a 9×13 pan spray with non stick spray.
  • Place chicken in the bottom of the pan.
  • Pour the salsa verde over the top of the chicken.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until you reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
  • Top with cheese and cilantro. Then broil for 5 minutes until cheese is bubbling.
