Crockpot Dr Pepper Chicken is one of those surprisingly simple meals that tastes like so much more work went into it. The combination of Dr Pepper and BBQ sauce creates a sweet, bold, tangy glaze that soaks into the chicken as it cooks, making it impossibly tender and flavorful.

It’s the kind of meal I turn to when I don’t want to fuss with dinner but still want something everyone will devour. Plus, it’s incredibly versatile we love to pile it onto sandwiches, spoon it over rice, or even use it for tacos!

The Dr. Pepper chicken turned out delicious. I’m definitely saving this recipe to make in the future. The first time I made it, I used a sweet vidalia onion bbq sauce, which made the dish extra sweet (which my family likes). For a more traditional taste, I would stick with a traditional bbq sauce.
