Ingredients

Ingredients - Chicken, butter, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, pepper, garlic powder
  • Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts – Slice chicken so they are about the same size so they cook evenly. Feel free to substitute with chicken tenders
  • Butter – We used unsalted melted butter. Substitute with olive oil
  • Panko Bread Crumbs – We like using panko breadcrumbs because it gives the the chicken an extra crispy coating. But you can also use regular breadcrumbs
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese – We like using finely shredded parmesan cheese for the best flavor
  • Fresh Parsley – Finely chopped parsley adds color and taste to the chicken
  • Garlic Powder – You can also use minced garlic. Feel free to add in 1 tablespoon of Italian Seasoning for even more flavor. You can also just add in ½ tablespoon of basil, thyme, onion powders or oregano if you prefer.

Recipe Tips

  • Prepare Chicken – To filet the chicken breasts, place the chicken breast flat on a cutting board, then hold it steady with one hand and use a sharp knife to slice it horizontally into two even pieces. Keep the knife parallel to the board and use a gentle sawing motion for control.
  • Baking Sheet – You may need an additional baking sheet based on the size of the chicken that you use for this recipe.  Make sure to line with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  • Make Chicken Golden Brown – If the chicken is not browning toward the end of the cooking time, you can broil the chicken breasts for 2-4 minutes to brown the outside of the chicken as well.
