Yakisoba Noodles with Shrimp Recipe Tips:

  • Oil – Any oil with a high smoke point will work great for this recipe.  We love using vegetable oil, canola oil or coconut oil instead of avocado oil in this recipe.
  • Cook Noodles – We recommend cooking the noodles before mixing with the other ingredients.
  • Heat Skillet – Heat oil to cook the vegetables until they are tender. Cook the shrimp until they are no longer pink.
  • Combining Ingredients – When combining the sauce and the other ingredients make sure you allow the sauce to simmer.
  • Prepare Vegetables – If you like to meal prep for the week, we recommend preparing the vegetables. Clean and chop vegetables and store in a air tight container. This way you can easily cook the vegetables for a quick dinner idea.

Substitutions and Variations:

  • Noodles – We used yakisoba noodles but there are other substitutes that can be used. You can use ramen noodles, spaghetti noodles or any noodles your prefer. Feel free to make this recipe with gluten free noodles or whole wheat noodles for a healthier alternative.
  • Sauce – Feel free to add or change the sauce ingredients. You can add in sesame oil, apple cider vinegar, garlic and ginger. For a spicy flavor add in sriracha sauce.
  • Meat – If you prefer you can substitute the shrimp with chicken, pork or beef.
  • Vegetables – Feel free to add in different vegetables. You can add in bean sprouts, bell pepper, or sesame seeds. Garnish the shrimp dish with chopped green onions for flavor.
  • Omit Shrimp – You can load the yakisoba dish with vegetable to make a meatless recipe.

How to Reheat Leftovers:

This shrimp dish can easily be reheated in the microwave. We recommend heating the shrimp and noodle mixture separately. If reheating everything together, it could dry out the shrimp.
