- Olive Oil – We recommend using high smoke point oil
- Garlic Powder – If you are out, see The Best Garlic Powder Substitute
- Onion Powder – See Best Onion Powder Substitutes if you out

Expert Tips
- Cooking Chicken – Use an instant read meat thermometer to make sure that the chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Single Layer – Make sure to not overlap the chicken when placing it in the air fryer so that the chicken gets cooked evenly on all sides of the chicken. We recommend placing the chicken in a single layer in the air fryer.
- Type of Oil – You can use any oil with a high smoke point instead of olive oil in this recipe. Avocado oil, vegetable oil or canola oil all work well.
- Seasoning Chicken – After combining the spices in a bowl, apply it to the chicken thighs. For best results, we like to press the spices into the chicken thighs by hand.
