Step 5 – Rub this seasoning mixture onto both sides of the chicken thighs. This chicken marinade gives this chicken so much flavor.

  • Step 6 – Place chicken thighs in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Leave some space between each of them. You may have to cook the chicken in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  • Step 7 – Air fryer at 380 degrees F for 10 minutes,
  • Step 8 – Flip the chicken thighs and continue to cook chicken thighs at 380 degrees F for 5-6 more minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
  • Step 9 – Serve immediately while warm and enjoy! You can also squeeze fresh lemon juice right before serving for even more flavor.

Expert Tips

  • Cooking Chicken – Use an instant read meat thermometer to make sure that the chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Single Layer – Make sure to not overlap the chicken when placing it in the air fryer so that the chicken gets cooked evenly on all sides of the chicken.  We recommend placing the chicken in a single layer in the air fryer.
  • Type of Oil – You can use any oil with a high smoke point instead of olive oil in this recipe. Avocado oil, vegetable oil or canola oil all work well.
  • Seasoning Chicken – After combining the spices in a bowl, apply it to the chicken thighs. For best results, we like to press the spices into the chicken thighs by hand.

How Long Do I Cook Boneless Chicken Thighs in the Air Fryer

Cooking time will vary depending on the size of your chicken thighs but air fryer chicken thighs takes about 10-15 minutes. You will flip the chicken halfway through the cooking process to ensure that both sides of the chicken is fully cooked.
