Recipe Tips
- Sauce Consistency – Watch the sauce as it cooks. If it gets too thick, thin it out with a small amount of water until it’s the consistency that you prefer. If the sauce does not get thick enough, continue to cook on medium heat until it thickens. You can use store bought sauce instead of making your own if you prefer.
- Roast Beef Slices – I heat up the roast beef slices one at a time but if you use more broth and a bigger pan, you can heat up all the slices at once if you prefer.
- Buns – Heat up the buns before assembling if you prefer but they are great as is as well.
Variations Ideas
- Roast Beef Sandwich – You can easily serve without the cheese sauce to make a regular Arby’s roast beef sandwich as well.
- Spicy Beef & Cheddar – Add slice jalapeños or spicy BBQ sauce.
- Extra Cheesy – Double the cheddar sauce for amazing flavor.
- Beef & Cheddar Sliders – Use Hawaiian rolls for party-sized sandwiches.
- Bacon Lover’s Version – Add crispy bacon strips for a delicious variations.
