Making homemade sauces and spices is my favorite things to prepare for the week. I usually already have all the wings and takes minutes to prepare. I know exactly the ingredients we are adding and they taste so much better than store bought sauce.
Whether you bake your wings in the oven, cook them in the slow cooker or deep fry them, adding this sauce will take them up a notch.

How to Make the Best Chicken Wing Sauce
- Step 1 – In a medium saucepan, whisk together the pineapple juice, brown sugar, ketchup, apple cider, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Step 2 – Place the saucepan over medium-high heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
- Step 3 – Reduce the heat to medium-low and let the sauce simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until it has thickened and reduced by about half. Stir the sauce occasionally to prevent burning.
- Step 4 – Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the sauce cool for a few minutes before using it on your cooked chicken wings.
- Step 5 – Toss the cooked chicken wings in the homemade buffalo sauce until they are evenly coated.
- Step 5 – Serve the buffalo wings immediately, garnished with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
