Recipe Notes

I prefer this crock pot meal cooked on low as some crock pots run hot and the Alfredo sauce might curdle if cooked on high.
Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
I like to chop the sun dried tomatoes more once I drain them from the jar so that they mix well into the sauce.

Pro Tips

  • Cooking Time – We like to cook this chicken recipe on low as some crock pots run hot and the alfredo sauce might curdle if cooked on high.
  • Sauce Consistency – You should end up with a thicker sauce consistency. If it does thin out, you may need to add a cornstarch slurry which consist of 2 tablespoons of cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of water.

Variations Ideas

  • Noodles – We like to eat this delicious Creamy Tuscan Chicken with linguine noodles. However, feel free to use what you have. We have used fettuccine, thin spaghetti noodles and even penne pasta before with a little olive oil.
  • Mushroom Tuscan – Add 8 oz sliced cremini at the start.
  • Bacon Lovers – Cook 4 slices bacon then crumble and stir in at the end.
  • Low Carb – Serve over zucchini noodles or cauliflower mash.

Serving Recommendations

We try to keep this meal really simple by serving it with a simple side salad. The salad goes really well with the rich sauce and balances out the recipe well. You can even serve with your favorite veggie such as Roasted Zucchini or Air Fryer Broccoli.

If I have about 15 minutes, our family loves this Garlic Bread Cheese Sticks Recipe. We also like making this super easy Crusty Artisan Bread.

If you already have your dough prepared, you can have fresh bread in about 30 minutes. It is the best bread to dip into the amazing alfredo sauce. The sauce is so tasty and you are going to want to get every last drop.

This sounds so good! Can I use drained, diced tomatoes in place of the sundried tomatoes in this recipe?

Pamela – I haven’t tested that yet but I think it would be delicious! If you try it, please let me know how it turns out.

The recipe is super easy to pull together and let slow cook all day. The house smelled wonderful when I got home. We used bow tie pasta as that’s what I had on hand. It tasted good but I felt like something was missing. I added additional Parmesan cheese to mine and that helped.
